Privacy Policy
Biomi is a living audiovisual instrument. This policy explains what information Biomi uses, why it uses it, and what happens when you choose the optional Apple Watch and HealthKit features.

1. Who controls your information

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, this policy is intended to give you the information required by applicable data-protection law. The final controller, representative, and contact details must be completed before launch.
2. What information Biomi uses
Depending on the features you use, Biomi may process:
- Account information: such as an email address or sign-in identifier when an account is required.
- Your choices: your chosen intention, preferences, saved settings, and local session history.
- Support and feedback: information you choose to include when contacting us, including attachments if you send them.
- Technical information: device, operating-system, browser, crash, security, and diagnostic information where the relevant feature or service collects it.
- Optional sensor information: device motion, touch, or other sensor signals when you enable a feature that needs them. The relevant permission screen should explain the feature before access is requested.
Biomi does not need your name, precise location, contacts, or microphone recordings to provide the basic audiovisual experience. Do not send sensitive information in free-form feedback unless it is necessary for your request.
3. Apple HealthKit and Apple Watch
HealthKit is optional. Biomi does not use it to advertise, sell data, or identify you.
If you give separate permission in Apple Health, Biomi may read heart rate, heart-rate variability, and—where enabled—a recent oxygen-saturation reading. Biomi uses these readings to let the audiovisual field respond during an active session.

- The Watch can send a live, bounded sample to the paired iPhone while an active Biomi session is running. The current consumer path processes that sample in the session and does not upload or retain raw HealthKit readings in Biomi cloud storage.
- Biomi may keep a local, non-raw session summary such as whether Watch biofeedback was used, which source was selected, and whether the HealthKit workout finished. It does not make that summary a medical record.
- When a workout is created, Apple HealthKit may save the workout record under Apple’s controls. Biomi does not control Apple’s Health app, HealthKit storage, or Apple’s retention practices.
- Biomi does not use HealthKit information for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, sale, or unrelated profiling, and does not disclose it to another party unless you expressly permit a health or fitness use or disclosure is required by law.
- You can refuse or withdraw HealthKit access in the Health app or iOS Settings. Turning it off does not prevent the basic Biomi experience from working without biofeedback.
HealthKit information is health information and may be a special category of personal data under the GDPR. Where required, Biomi will rely on your explicit consent for this optional processing. Apple’s HealthKit permission is a separate device-level control; it does not replace Biomi’s obligation to explain this use clearly.
4. Why we use information
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Biomi is not a medical service and does not use your readings to diagnose or treat a condition.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to your local data-protection authority. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred lawfully before withdrawal.
To exercise a right, use the privacy contact above. We may ask for information needed to verify the request and will respond within the period required by applicable law. You can also manage HealthKit access directly in Apple Health or iOS Settings.
7. Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and risk. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Biomi is not directed to children under 13. Where local law sets a higher age for a child to consent to online services, we will follow that rule and obtain any required parent or guardian authorization.
We may update this policy when the service or law changes. We will post the new version and update the effective date. Material changes to HealthKit use will be explained before the changed use begins.
